The basic formula from previous DOA games remains the same, and being a fighting game, that’s generally not a bad thing - especially when the system is as solid as this. Console gamers may have had their fill, but PC players should get a good taste at what Dead or Alive 5 has to offer. While the PC edition is a little late to the party, and won’t ship with online functionality at launch, we could quite possibly have the definitive version of Team Ninja’s fighter. After essentially three additional iterations, Koei Tecmo has decided to release yet another version of their quick-paced and overly sexualized fighter, and for the first time, on PC. Experienced players will want to pump the difficulty up a bit though.Despite originally debuting in 2012, the saga of Dead or Alive 5 continues to push forward. I love that because casual players can select an appropriate difficulty and actually do well against the computer. Unlike Mortal Kombat, the easier difficulties really are easy. Team Fight is just a single 7-on-7 throwdown as opposed to a more involving mode like the others though.Īll non-Story modes allow the player to select from eight difficulty levels.

If two characters per battle aren't enough for you, Team Fight ups the ante by letting each side pick seven characters and fight until one team gets exhausted. Tag throws and power blows involving both team members give tag an extra dimension over solo play. During tag battles, both sides can swap back and forth between two fighters at will. Each offers the choice of fighting in solo or tag battles.
